  • 60 minutes
  • In person

A hand holding a phone showing a scam text — “Your parcel is delayed. Pay a redelivery fee now.” — with “Money request” and “Pressure to act” circled

Old tricks. New tools.

One simple rule
to remember.

From prize letters to text-message scams, most fraud relies on the same tactics: urgency, pressure, and an unexpected request. Participants leave with a habit they can use every time.

  1. 01

    Stop.

Pause before you respond, click, or call back. Urgency is the scammer’s best tool.

  2. 02

    Verify.

Check using a trusted contact method you find yourself, not the one in the message.

  3. 03

    Decide.

Choose a safer next step with confidence, and know who to tell.

Inside the workshop

See it.
Question it.
Verify it.

Fictional text message
